Registration & Book Requests
for School Year
2008-2009

For Southern Union Schools ONLY

This registration process is for Southern Union schools who are already enrolled in the A.N.G.E.L. Program. Not enrolled? Learn how on our FAQ page.


UserName & Password

  • Your user name is the three-letter code assigned to the school by the ANGEL Program. If you cannot remember what your code is, go to the Online Catalog page. Next to each schools name is their three-letter code.
  • To receive your password, the contact person must email the ANGEL Manager (see the Contact Us page) and request it.

Contact Person

  • To register your schools contact person and to request books, the contact person MUST have a working email address. You will not be able to proceed with registration without a valid email address.
  • Keep in mind that the contact person should be the only one contacting ANGEL. All correspondence should go through that person so that everyone at the school is on the same page. This is to ensure that there is no confusion.

Registration

  • Before beginning steps for registration, print off the needed forms from our Forms or Pathways pages
  • Distribute forms to the teachers in your school
  • A list of your teachers' requests must be compiled in order to fill out information

Book Requests

  • Book requests aren't required
  • If you don't request books, we will make the selections for you
  • The contact information (Step 1) and the Projected Enrollment figures (Step 2) must be filled out regardless of book requests
  • Remember that your specific book/video/CD requests may not be returned for credit
  • Be sure you know what you are ordering ahead of time
  • Any book selected for you by ANGEL may be returned for credit during the fiscal year in which you received it

  Book Recommendation Lists

  • ANGEL has previewed and compiled a list of books taken from the School Library Journal and Booklist review of books published each year
  • ANGEL's book recommendation list (called "Best Books of... ") includes author, title, grade level, retail price and a short synopsis of each book
  • ANGEL also has a short list of Multicultural Theme books. These book are all Accelerated Readers and have been previewed and passed by ANGEL.
