READ THOROUGHLY BEFORE YOU BEGIN REGISTRATION
Decide who will be the contact person to work with ANGEL and the schools library. This person must have a working email address. Keep in mind that the contact person should be the only one contacting ANGEL. All correspondence should go through that person so that everyone at the school is on the same page. This is to ensure that there is no confusion.
Have the projected enrollment figures for next school year available. The Projected Enrollment figures give us a
preliminary estimate of your budget and allows us to get some of the ordering
and processing done during the summer months.
Review the lists of books that have already been previewed and passed by ANGEL. These lists can be found on the Forms & Lists page as well as the Pathways Page. We suggest that you print out the lists and circulate them throughout your school so all the teachers can make their requests known. Once you have a compiled list, you can more easily pick the books you want in Step 3. If you don't compile a list of requests, and instead just read the previews/descriptions online, you may take too long and get "timed out." *We have found that you may get "timed out" if you spend more than about 20 minutes at a time.* Tips for searching for books: The easiest way I've
found to find a book is to search in the Keyword box for the title.
Type the title in exactly as it is written on the lists on the Forms
& Lists and Pathways pages. You could also first sort the books by List, then search by a keyword in
the title of the list (i.e. "2008" for Best Books of 2008 or "Gr.5" for
Pathways Gr.5).
Take a look at your library and see what general areas need more and/or updated books.
Compile a list of any other books or DVDs that the teachers or students would like.
Check your Online Catalog to make sure you are not asking for books you already have in your library.
To begin Registration, request your password from the ANGEL Manager via email (See the Contact Us page). Include your schools three-letter school code in the email (found on the Online Catalog page). Your three-letter school code is your UserName.
